FORUM held its 10th International Trademark Conference on May 7 – 8, 2009 at OHIM in Alicante, Spain.

We were very delighted to welcome many professionals from all across Europe joining us for this important trademark event. An extraordinary panel of international experts focussed on the current issues affecting today’s trademark law. Inter alia Mr. Vincent O´Reilly, Director Department for Industrial Property Policy at OHIM, Mrs. Lynne Beresford from USPTO and the Honourable Judge Mr. Marko Ilesic, Member of the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg, gave some interesting insights into their daily work and the latest developments.

Alicante, as one of the capitals of European Trademark Law since the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market has its headquarters there, was once again a perfect setting for two days of exciting presentations and discussions. Not to forget the Spanish hospitality at its finest which we could enjoy during our conference dinner at the end of the first day.
